DSK Benelli 302 Launched
DSK Benelli 302R is based on the TNT 300 naked street bike
DSK Benelli 302R is powered by the same 300 cc liquid-cooled vertical-twin engine
The Benelli 302R carries a kerb weight of 198kg, thus making it one of the heaviest bikes in its segment. Besides sharing its design cues with TNT 300, the 302R has borrowed the 300cc, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine from its donor sibling. The power and torque outputs of this motor stand at 38bhp and 26Nm respectively. Designed on a steel-tube trellis frame, the bike is claimed to offer high stability during cornering and on straight roads. Just so you know, the Benelli 302 first broke cover at the 2015 EICMA Milan motor show, and had its India debut at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016.
The all-new 302R derives its power from a 300cc, in-line twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with dual overhead camshafts configuration. This engine pushes out a maximum power output of 38bhp at 10,000rpm, while generating a peak torque of 26Nm at 9,000rpm. This BS4 powertrain has already been used in the Benelli TNT 300 naked streetfighter. However, the company has tweaked its gear ratios for achieving better power output. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox. With the 300cc motor, the bike can achieve 0-100kmph sprints in 8.34 seconds, and offers a top-speed of 154kmph.
