Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has been regular with updated the Gixxer 155 and Gixxer SF. Only yesterday we told you about the new dual-tone red-black paint job for the alloy wheels of the Gixxer 155. And now, we’ve got to know that the manufacturer is ready with the much awaited ABS variant of the Gixxer SF. The new Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS is based on the FI variant and is likely to launch anytime now. We expect a price increase of up to Rs 3,500 over the non-ABS model. This bike will also get a new Tri-Colour paint option.
Other than the introduction of ABS, there won’t by any change in the specifications of the bike. The motorcycle will continue to come with a 154.9cc engine that belts out a max. power of 14.8 PS and a peak torque of 14 Nm. The Gixxer SF ABS variant will be available only with the fuel-injected engine. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
As can be seen in the exclusive images we have here, the new Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS won’t get any design changes. Sure, there’s the new Tri-Colour paint option, but apart from the new colour scheme and an ABS sticker on the front-mudguard, there’s really nothing special about the way the ABS variant looks. Prices are yet to be announced but we’re expecting a premium of up to Rs 3,500 over the non-ABS model.
Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS Price in India Expected Price - Rs. 96,000
Quite obviously, the introduction of ABS will lead to an increase in price. Currently, the Suzuki Gixxer SF FI has an ex-showroom price of around Rs 92,500. The FI model of the Suzuki Gixxer SF already costs roughly Rs. 4,500 more than the regular model.

Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS Features

Suzuki is working hard to fetch a considerable sales chunk from 150cc segment and next step toward this milestone would be the introduction of Gixxer SF ABS into Indian market. A recent leaked brochure for the motorcycle shows availability of an ABS ring on the front brake, that too with all new graphics on fuel tank, front cowl and side fairing. According to the latest updates by AutoCarIndia, it has been confirmed that ABS will be optional on both versions of Gixxer SF – Carburetted and Fuel Injected. The price for ABS is INR 7,000, which means the carb ABS model of Gixxer SF would be priced at INR 96,000 and the Fi model would go on-sale for INR 1,00,000. The ABS being offered by Suzuki is a single-channel unit (will control only the front wheel) like we have on the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Mechanically, there would be no changes, and the ABS models would be powered by the same 154.9cc, single cylinder engine producing 14.6 BHP and 14 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Apart from being powerful and lightweight in comparison to others, the aerodynamic design is wind tunnel tested and helps rider achieve higher efficiency in terms of performance and mileage. The ABS model is expected to be available in 2 shades: Triton Blue and all-new Tri-Color combination. Introduction of ABS will help Suzuki create awareness regarding safety and may speed up the process of introducing ABS
