A supercharged sports-tourer from Kawasaki likely to debut at EICMA 2017

Kawasaki Supercharged Sports-Tourer

Kawasaki is set to introduce a new sport touring model with a supercharged engine at the EICMA 2017 Motorshow. The new model will be the third supercharged motorcycle in Kawasaki's model line-up joining the Kawasaki H2 and the Kawasaki H2R. While the H2 and H2R are track-focussed superbikes, the new model will be more touring oriented.

The new motorcycle will be the first production tourer to be equipped with supercharger technology which will result in high torque and power output. The new technology will also deliver a healthy fuel economy.

Now there is a confusion that what the sports tourer would be called,as recently Kawasaki teased a video. Earlier H2 GT,new reports suggest that it would be called H2 SX.

Without revealing much about the tourer, the Japanese manufacturer has stated that it will offer “balanced supercharger technology to create even greater low to mid-range pulling power.”

While it's still uncertain if the new model will indeed be called that, what is confirmed is that it will certainly be a sport tourer, rather than an out and out track-oriented performance superbike. It still remains to be seen if the new model will be based on the H2 platform or will have an all-new chassis design with more comfortable ergonomics suited for long hours in the saddle

Lets see what Kawasaki is cooking for EICMA 2017.
