Suzuki has launched its Modern Cruiser named Intruder 150 in India at Rs 98,340 ex showroom New Delhi. It uses the same 155cc single cylinder air cooled engine from the Naked street bike Gixxer but it has been tweaked with larger air box ,different exhaust unit , and tweaked up gear ratios to match the cruiser character ,it also sounds little different.
The motorcycle shares most of the cycle part with Gixxer series ,like the alloys, tyres ,suspension consisting of 41mm front forks and monoshock at the rear which has been tweaked a little bit to make is more compliant on our Indian roads, similar chassis with different rake angle and longer swingarm for longer wheelbase, same instrument cluster and handlebar. What is different from Gixxer are the front set foot pegs .The bike features split seats which would offer better comfort compared to Gixxer155 . The fuel tank capacity is 11 litres and and seat height is 740 mm. It has carburetted engine along with dual duals and single channel ABS as standard.
It makes the same power as the Gixxer 155 ,14.8 Ps of power at 8000rpm and 14 nm of torque at 6000rpm, The bike weights at 148 kg wet and have a fuel economy of 44 kmpl on real riding and road conditions .The ground clearance also has been increased to 170mm to accommodate big potholes.
