2k19 H-Davidson
Harley-Davidson is planning to launch the production ready version of the Project Livewire it showcased back in 2014. According to reports, the electric motorcycle is in the last stages of development and is likely to be launched as early as mid-2019.The Project Livewire sports a café-racer like design that follows the manufacturer’s traditional styling, yet looking way ahead of time. It gets LED headlamps and taillight and a fully digital instrument console. The rider also sits slightly leaned forward thanks to the café-racer riding position along with rear-set footpegs.
The exposed chassis houses an electric three-phase induction motor that generates 74bhp and 70.5Nm of torque. The Project Livewire is limited to a top-speed of 148kmph. It goes from 0-60kmph in four seconds flat. The bike boasts of an 80km range on a full-charge.
The Project Livewire is part of the brand’s plans to launch 100 new motorcycles by 2027. While the bike will first be unveiled in the USA, it is unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon.
