2k18 FZ-S Gets Rear Disc
2018 FZS Pic reveals that Yamaha is still skipping ABS on the model year update…
A brochure leak has revealed that Yamaha is also set to unveil the 2018 FZ range which, like every year, will get new colour themes. But more importantly, this time, the pic reveals the presence of a rear disc brake as well, which is expected to be an optional higher variant in the range.
2018 FZS pic showcases the variant in new blue colour which has received contrast golden colour decals and stickers. Considering the way Yamaha has showcased a lit-up headlamp, it may signify LED headlamps and the motorcycle may also get LED tail lamps.
There may be some other cosmetic changes to the motorcycle. Mechanicals are expected to remain untouched and it would continue to be powered by the same 149 cc fuel injected SOHC engine capable of producing 13.2 PS of peak power at 8000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of maximum torque at 6000 rpm.
Currently, the complete 150 cc FZ range is not offered with a rear disc option and apart from the FZ-S, we believe the Fazer will also get updated with very similar changes (and the rear disc brake).
