There is NO Avenger 400 for Now But a New Variant is Coming

Let us bust all the rumours related to Avenger 400. New ‘V’ also under works…

The refreshed Avengers are doing fantastically well for Bajaj. It must be recalled that from a single ‘Avenger’ model, Bajaj branched out two different variants (Cruise and Street) along with introducing the cruiser with the smaller 150 cc engine. This has resulted in a major spike in sales. Just to give you a reference, Bajaj sold over 55,000 units of the brand in the first half of this year which is an average of over 9000 units per month.

Now, to further catapult sales, according to a report at Autocar Professional, Bajaj is preparing a new variant of Avenger which is expected to be added to the lineup (and not replace any of the existing version).

No Avenger 400

Before you go wild with your dreams, like many websites/blogs already have, let us reveal that there is no Avenger 400 for now! Yes, Bajaj is NOT preparing a 400 cc version of Avenger (sharing Dominar’s 373 cc motor) at the moment and once and if they do, it will at least take one to two years before it hits your nearest showrooms.

So, it will just be a variant of either the Avenger 220 or the Avenger 150 and will be launched within this financial year ie by or before March 2018.

New Bajaj V

Apart from this, the report also goes onto say that in the commuter segment, Bajaj will add a new variant to its ‘V’ brand more details of which are not known at this moment, But dont expect anything radically different and it will be on the similar lines of the recently introduced Platina with LED DRLs.
