Confirmed: Electric Ducati Bikes & Scooters Coming in 2021

Confirmed: Electric Ducati Bikes & Scooters Coming in 2021 – Ducati has one good and one bad news for their fans around the globe. Moving ahead with the good news first, Ducati will launch electric motorcycles and an all-new scooter internationally by 2021.

The news will helps Ducati gain traction among environment loving people as most brands will try to exploit the electric possibility for converting every possible product into a future proof machine. The bad news is for those who were willing to buy a small displacement entry-level Ducati, the brand has clearly rejected the idea of entering volume generating market as their primary focus (performance & luxury) will stay same.

Edouard Lotthe, MD of Ducati Western Europe told French website Moto-Station: “Today, the things that have been confirmed, yes, Ducati will be entitled to electrification, yes Ducati will have the scooter in its range. This range extension will not arrive before 2021.” He also mentioned that Ducati is currently prioritizing the upcoming Euro 5 emission norms for the year 2020.

Ducati believes that electric machines will not just help them keep pollution under check but will also prove to be more powerful than conventional petrol fed machines. Ducati recently introduced all new Panigale V4 at EICMA 2017. Along with the new four cylinder racer, Ducati introduced a new Multistrada 1260 and Scrambler 1100 for the fans. All of them came in multiple variants, further followed by Ducati Panigale Corse and Black Edition for Scrambler Desert Sled
