Royal Enfield Himalayan FI
This new colour variant (inspired by the snow-capped mountain peaks of the might Himalayas) will be launched to boost the Himalayan’s sales which have been below expectations. The motorcycle was launched at an exciting price, delivered brilliant package, but it was the reliability and quality issues which were reported by owners that resulted in the Royal Enfield taking the Himlayan out of the market, and relaunching it later.
Now that the Himalayan with BS4 and FI has been launched, the company is getting ready to introduce the 2018 variant in the market. This new variant is expected to arrive at dealerships in the coming days. But expect delivery to happen at a slower pace.
A dealer told Rushlane that unlike previously, this time the company will produce the Himalayanin limited units in the first phase. This will help them gauge customer response to the FI variant better, before they start production of Himalayan in larger numbers.

As per Royal Enfield, the new Himalayan is a completely new bike. Compared to the previous Himalayan, the new has a linear power delivery, has lesser vibrations and no backfire. It has a better acceleration too.
Named after the mighty Himalayas of India, Royal Enfield Himalayan features a relaxed seating postion, which proves to be a boon on long rides, especially the one’s with bad raods. Long suspension travel with off-road tyres give the bike a very rugged appeal. Instrument panel consists of analog as well as digital meters. Powered by a new 410 cc single cylinder engine, Royal Enfield Himalayan is an entry level adventure tourer. The engine is rated to deliver 25 PS and 32 Nm torque via a 5-speed gearbox.
